Parsing GS1-128 barcodes into Zoho for a medical equipment supplier

The brief

Zoho Inventory read Novosic’s GS1-128 barcodes as one opaque string. For medical stock, batch traceability and expiry tracking had to live in their own fields.

What I built

• A Zoho Creator workflow that takes the scanned GS1-128 string and walks its application identifiers
• Product identifier (GTIN), batch number and expiry date written into separate, clean fields
• Fields ready for use across Novosic’s existing Zoho environment
